Obviously ICE are powered by lithium ion battery stocks the gasoline you buy when you fill up at a gas station. The electric motor/generator is powered by a large (and by large, I mean large and heavy) battery pack. Most hybrids on the road today have large Nickel-Metal Hydride (NiMH) battery packs somewhere near the trunk, or under the seats. (Read about the Lexus Hybrid battery pack).
The battery will over-charge if left attached to the charger. The battery stops charging automatically when full lithium facts so it will not over charge. If the battery is left on charge too long it is possible that heat will damage the battery.
This can be a problem for where the battery is not used that often but is can be important when it is needed for emergencies such as power outages. As the battery does not store well over extended amounts of time, it is possible that when they are needed they will not be usable. But for things that are used and recharged on a regular basis such as for portable electrical equipment, they are very good. But there is not always a slowing amount of capacity when they are getting old and it is possible for them to just not work without any reason being obvious.
Why lithium bettery stock is this important? If you have a relatively new PC the only problem you will get are error messages relating to the clock on start up. No big deal. If your PC is older then a low battery could be a nightmare. I had a PC which once every few months refused to boot. Rather than take the PC in for repair or start replacing parts myself the first thing I did was look at the BIOS settings. It was soon obvious that the BIOS settings were corrupt (wrong bus speed). I put a volt meter on the battery and sure enough it was reading 2.2 volts.
The Makita LXFD01CW Drill didn't stack up to the test as well as the Dewalt drills did. Overall it got a 3.5 out of 5 stars and a few user complaints. One guy commented that the batteries for all of the Makita drills are not interchangeable. You have to have the special 18V battery for this specific Makita LXFD01CW Drill. Yet he said the performance of the drill was outstanding. Another guy commented on the longevity of the drill, he's had it for a long time and it's been very durable. He liked that it was small and lightweight yet powerful enough to handle any task.
Last, but not the least on my list is the $109,000 Tesla Roadster, a pretty hot sports car. The Roadster is an extremely fast electric car in a position to go from zero to 60 mph in just 3.9 seconds and, moreover, it may run up to 245 miles on a single charge. It is made from carbon fibre and also the power train features a custom microprocessor-controlled lithium-ion battery. The inside is incredible and features cruise control, power windows and door locks, ac, leather, touch screen featuring GPS, HD Radio, Bluetooth and several other gadgets.
